Manga: Blood+ Vol 3, Special A (mind the spoilers)

WOOHOO! Illuminati Manga finally released the translation of Blood+ Vol 3 and I am over the friggin moon! :D Please mind the spoilers. Cause I need somewhere to squee and rant and glee.

The Saya/Hagi moments were just...TOTALLY squee worthy! *spazzing out in fangirlish glee* Huzzah for smoochies! XD And gosh darn it all, Hagi looks so fricking awesome and handsome in those clothes *fans herself* And I did squee out loud when I realised that Hagi and Saya were a pair of lovebirds for atleast two years. WHEEE! :D

Personally, I am liking the slightly different story going on in the manga and the art. WOW :D LOVING the art! Saya looks more prettier, Hagi looks more handsome....and show of hands who thought it was totally KICK ASS that Saya went berserk when Diva admitted to killing Hagi? *raises both hands* But uguuu~ it broke my heart when she broke the comb that he had given her *puppy ears droop*

And Joel's words? Damn....just...DAMN. Talk about a kick in the guts. Hearing that you should never have been born from the person who was like a father to you? And in the same day as the guy you love dies horribly and you find out you have a crazed twin sister? Not a good day all in all. And thats the understatement of the century right there.

I also started reading the Special A class manga, which really is two kinds of awesome :D The art is soooo much more nicer in the manga and i just wanna....eat Kei up! *num num!* He looks so delicious at some parts...ditto for Tadashi *squeeee!* I didnt really like the way Hikari looks in the anime but I definitely like her design more in the manga :D Its somehow...softer maybe? But that also applys for Kei, whose character design i am not particularly fond of in the anime. I really like Ryuu in the anime (kyaaa~! <3)

I read five volumes in two hours and then had a dream in which i saw Kei and Hikari....Special A overload perhaps? XD

Limes

Limes are gonna friggin kill me one of these days.

Especially the ones by YenGirl.

Cause damn those are sexy, smoldering HOT!

One Dish Party

Well we had a one dish party in the class today that kinda fun. Had plenty to eat (dunno if the guys will agree with me when i say that XD) but it was good food, good friends, good fun! For the food well... Here was the menu:

Me: Lemon Chicken
Arshia and Saleena: Loads of sandwiches that got killed really fast!
Saira and Zainab: Two kinds of noodles which were terribly tasty
Zuneera: Rolls...didnt manage to snag one but i heard they were damned tasty
Wardah: Brownies. Oh my gaaah! SO nummy!
Mahwish: Cake. ZOMG. So soft and spongy O.O
Ayesha: Chicken with veggies. Didnt manage to snag any fries D:
Sehrish N: Chicken cholei. *drools*
and finally, Mariams Chicken Steaks (Nummy!!!) with veggies. God those mashed potatoes! *dies*
Sir: Fish which got like killed as well.
It was fun :)

Recipe for Lemon Chicken:
Firstly, I marinated the chicken over night. For that I used 3 chicken breasts (skin removed and cut into long strips) and tossed in some salt, white pepper, soy sauce and a dash of grape vinegar (I love grape vinegar!)

Then in the morning! Took out some cornflour and seasoned it with oregano, salt and pepper (black) and then I rolled the chicken strips in the seasoned corn flour. Took a non-stick frying pan, poured in bout....2 tablespoons of oil and heated the oil. Also cut the chicken strips down into small pieces that would make em easier to eat. A dash of salt on the chicken strips if you feel like it.

Tossed the chicken into the pan and let em fry till they turned a light golden brown. At this point, tossed in some finely chopped onion (original recipe called for spring onions where do i get THAT in this season?), garlic (2 cloves), lemon zest and ginger.

On top of the chicken, squeeze half a lemon (a really juicy one) and pour in a glass of chicken stock. Let it simmer for like 5-6 minutes, atleast until the chicken got cooked through and the stock got reduced. Serve while hot :)

I got damned fine results after twisting the original recipe :D The original recipe can be found on BBC Food. Lemon Chicken by Sanjeev Bhaskar

I modified it a bit cause after going over the recipe i thought that if i follow it like *points to above recipe* there wouldnt be much of a taste and it'd be too bland. So thats why i marinated the chicken strips overnight.

The chicken was SO incredibly tender when it was hot! And it had a nice..sharp, salty, lemony taste. Just the way i like it :D

Fu Fu Fu

Now this is a layout more suited to my penchant for displaying my fangirlishness!

Kiriyuu Zero and Cross Yuuki from Vampire Knight! (I'd use her other name but I wont lest someone gets spoiled.)

Zero/Yuuki is my OTP for VK! I dont care what anyone says or what happens! If it comes to it in the end that Yuuki isnt with Zero i'll just say one thing.... "A toast...to canon! And now back to fanon!" or "Sometimes you just have to say....screw canon!"

ZeKi FTW!

Limes and Lemons

I like me a good lime and/or lemon! *winkwink* Those of you who know what im talking about...

And i'll be making lemon chicken on Thursday. I'd make some stupid joke that i hope i wont burn the kitchen down but im pretty sure that wont happen. Though i hope i dont burn the chicken itself cause its the first time i'll be making something for someone else to eat. Its one thing to make chiken noodles and veggie for myself to eat and something totally else to make it for others to eat!
