Eureka Seven

Listening to: Nana Kitade - Antoinette Blue

I started this series just for the heck of it because I was desperate to watch something new and I read a line that its 'pretty weird'. And that was good enough for me!

In the beginning I really didn't like the character designs...ESPECIALLY when Renton or any other character would cry. I think I cringed at those parts. But they kinda grew on me as I got into the story. Its a pretty interesting story with some pretty neat characters. I would definitely recommend this anime to anyone who's interested though I wouldn't classify this was "really weird". It wasn't weird in any way to me....then again, I adore fantasy/sci-fi/action so I guess that's why I didn't find it all that weird XD

The few character designs that I ADORED were of Talho and Holland. Though Anemone and Anemone gave me the creeps...especially the latter. WHAT was that jam eating scene? I think it was the eye shape, the extremely slanted look that really gave me the heebie jeebies.

But the action sequences with the mechas.... I was staring at the screen with drool dripping down my chin. It was fast, it was smooth, it was SEXY as hell! And the mechas themselves...Lordy I want one! Though I'd want the Nirvash or maybe the 909. Not the 303 (I kinda like to live a nice long life thanks) and not theEND either (that pilot seat looks a bit uncomfortable.....)

Its got a good pace overall. Its nice and steady and while watching it, never once did I feel that its going too fast or too slow. Now THATS a feat! Though some of the character interaction left a slight bad taste in my mouth but once you really think about it (and once its all been explained) y' dont really mind it. And due to that interaction, you really end up feeling for the characters.

And again, much love for Holland's character. He's pretty darn interesting! Though his onii-chan's a NUT. I kid you not.

I have yet to watch the last episode and I do hope to God that its a decent ending. Or else I'm gonna go ballistic!

Next series to watch: Air TV. I've heard quite a few good things about it! And its 13 episodes which means I can download that in a day
